The Monglian climate is extreme. From the heart of Asia, Mongolia has a range of diverse geographical zones from deserts to lush forests. During the harsh winters the temperature plummets to -40°C, and intense hot summers where it can reach upwards of +40°C. It’s this extreme Mongolian climate that produces the world’s finest cashmere. You could say it is nature that shapes our products.
The Mongolian goats survive in this harsh environment thanks to their coats with the finest hairs. In comparison our hair is on average 50 microns, whereas Mongolian cashmere fibers are 14-19 microns. It’s these fine hairs creating an insulating layer that allow the goats to thrive in this unforgiving land of extremes.
